1968 Plymouth GTX ready for the road. The owner of this beauty was distraught to find out a ladder had accidentally fallen against the passenger door. He then contacted a fellow car enthusiast who recommended Dentec for paintless dent repair, stating that he was very pleased with the repairs previously done on his Dodge Dart GT. After discussion with the owner and assessing the damage it was clear that PDR was the only option. There was a snag though.. the Plymouth wheels were to be the transportation for a summer vacation departing that weekend. I was determined not let this dent make the trip and spoil the holiday. Thanks to the owner for removing the door panel to expedite the repair, because this nasty 6” dent/crease was not accessible without removing the vent window hardware. Using special pdr tools on the backside of the dent and highly polished hammers on the exterior, the dent was meticulously removed. Relieved to hear the dent had been removed, the owner and co-worker (who had also seen the dent previously) arrived to pick up the GTX , astonished that there was no visible sign of the dent and extremely pleased with the results. The owner commented “ I’ve actually got goose bumps! “.
